Indies grab exclusive Resident Evil DLC

Independent games stores are beaming after receiving exclusive content for the new Resident Evil.

Capcom and CentreSoft is providing the in-game Power Weapons and Elite Weapons packs only for indies who order copies of Operation Raccoon City.

The game hits stores today (Friday, March 23rd) for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

For years, indies have missed out on bonus DLC to chains and big online stores like Amazon and Play.com.

Capcom recognises the importance of independent stockists,” Capcom’s UK product manager Karl Reader told MCV.

We endeavour to provide all retailers, big and small, with high value pre-order incentives. For Raccoon City we’re supplying CentreSoft with two weapon DLC packs.”

Xpress Games’ Chris Muckell said: We’ve definitely seen an upturn in pre-orders since we’ve advertised the bonus items, which has been a real help with forecasting order numbers. We’ve been very happy

with the extra support we’ve received over the past few months.”
