Lego Indiana Jones release date confirmed

Though many of the release dates to emerge from last month’s Play.com Live have proven unreliable, the date hinted for Lego Indiana Jones has been confirmed – with the title is due for release in Europe on June 6th.

As per usual, the game will ship in North America on the preceding Tuesday, June 3rd. It is being released on 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP, PS2 and PC.

The game itself is surely more or less complete, with it yesterday having passed the BBFC ratings test, unsurprisingly receiving a U certificate.

Currently in development at UK studio Traveller’s Tales, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures includes content from the archaeologist’s successful original movie trilogy – Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade.

A new movie outing, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is due out in May, though there’s still no word on whether the previously mentioned official gaming tie-in will materialise at the same time.
