Now Evening Standard says Tax Breaks announcement is this week

Tax breaks for UK games studios will be announced this week, says The Evening Standard.

The newspaper’s report follows our own article last week, which revealed the tax breaks have been given the go-ahead despite not receiving an announcement at the Budget.

The only news in the Budget about tax breaks was the inclusion of a new element which offers relief to service companies operating in the wider European Economic Area. This now appears to be a concession in order to get the tax breaks through.

The Evening Standard expects an announcement by the middle of the week.
