Thompson replaces Cross at Asda

MCV can reveal that Andrew Thompson is the man who will replace Asda’s outgoing games buying manager Duncan Cross on June 7th.

It was reported last week that Cross is leaving the games side of the business to head up the supermarket’s baby category.

Thompson, the former product director at Gamestation, joined Asda as head of new business in June 2009 in the wake of the merging of GAME and Gamestation’s head office.

An official confirmation of the appointment is expected to be made later today.
