US Amazon Prime subscribers receive 20% off new game releases and pre-orders

American Amazon Prime users can now get 20 per cent off the cost of game pre-orders and brand new releases.

In an FAQ page, the online retail giant says that the deal is valid only on physical editions of games. Amazon also defines ‘new release’ as a title that has been out for under two weeks. Additionally, only games sold by Amazon itself are eligible.

At the moment it seems that this deal is only available to US Prime subscribers, though MCV has reached out to Amazon UK to see if a similar offering is coming to this side of the world.

In July 2015, the retailer appeared to be giving its Prime members discounts of selected games.

Amazon also brought its one-hour delivery service Prime Now to the UK in November.
