Worms to make its next-gen debut this month

Team 17’s Worms Battlegrounds will be released on Xbox One and PS4 later this month.

It will arrive both in boxed and digital form on June 30th, although the digital PS4 release in the US will arrive a tad later – June 3rd.

The game is one of the first to be released under Microsoft’s ID@Xbox independent publishing program.

Included are 25 singleplayer missions, ten time attack missions, 65 weapons, online and local multiplayer and loads of customisation options, all of which spans five environments and is presented in 1080p and at 60fps.

On PS4 the light bar will change colour according to what’s happening on the screen. There will also be Touch Pad support for weapon selection gestures and a SmartGlass companion app for Xbox One.
