Xbox One beating PS4 on Amazon, tracking ahead of Xbox 360 pre-orders

Microsoft appears to have grabbed an early advantage in the next-gen sales war.

Amazon.co.uk reckons that the Xbox One and PS4 are currently sitting in first and second place in its PC and Video Games Chart, with Microsoft’s machine pipping PS4’s sales by 2.3 per cent.

Xbox One pre-orders are tracking ahead of its predecessor Xbox 360 by 20 per cent.

It’s not clear yet which of the two will have the edge when they launch later this year,” Amazon Europe’s VP of retail Xavier Garambois stated. What’s certain, though, is that fans are already excited about how the next generation of consoles will change the world of gaming and home entertainment.”

Amazon.co.uk’s head of video games Ketu Patel added: Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are set to have a huge impact, not just in terms of cutting edge games but also as part of the way in which families enjoy home entertainment.
