Rising Star signs Alex Sim-Wise

Growing UK publisher Rising Star has signed up sexy starlet Alex Sim-Wise as a writer for its Japanese-orientated games portal Hoshi Club.

Sim-Wise shot to fame after winning FHM’s Student of the Year award in 2004. After a spell modelling she went on to work in the media. She joins current Hoshi Club writer David McCarthy.

We’re thrilled to have Alex on board,” Rising Star MD Martin Defries stated. She’s smart, sassy and fiercely knowledgeable about games and Japanese culture – making her a perfect fit for the site.

Alongside David McCarthy, Alex will be writing about anything that takes her fancy, and we’re sure she’ll prove to be an enormously popular Hoshi columnist.”

Sim-Wise herself added: As a fan of Rising Star Games, Japan and its culture, I’m delighted to be paid money to write about anything I want.

Hoshi Club members can look forward to me banging on about Harvest Moon, my adventures in gaming and literally anything else that takes my fancy. Who knows, I may even bung in some pictures, too.”

The Hoshi Club site can be found here.
