Simultaneous global release for GT5

The boss of Sony-owned developer Polyphony Digital has stated that his upcoming racer Gran Turismo 5 is likely to get a simultaneous worldwide release – with many still tipping the title for an arrival in 2009.

Thegame is still under development but itsrelease is not too far,” Kazunori Yamauchi stated, according to GT Planet. It will be afterthe PSP Gran Turismo release and, very probably, it will be a simultaneous world release.”

The developer also confirmed that the game will run in 1080p, or ‘True HD’, and at 60fps (frames per second).

Gran Turismo on PSP is due out on October 1st. Those who buy Sony’s new PSPgo portable will be entitled to a free download of the game from PSN.
