Sniper Elite franchise surpasses 10m copies sold

The Sniper Elite franchise has surpassed 10m copies sold, developer Rebellion has revealed.

The UK-based studio announced the news in a video update (posted below). The first Sniper Elite title launched in 2005, meaning sales average out to right around 1m per year.

Whether you’ve bought one or whether you’ve bought all of our Sniper products, thank you very much for supporting indie development in the UK,” Rebellionco-founder Jason Kingsley said. It’s been a pleasure to deliver great games for you and hopefully we’ll go on to do more in the future.”

Sniper Elite III launched in June 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
