Take-Two extends NBA deal

The NBA has extended its longstanding deal with publisher Take-Two that will see label 2K Games continue to make its popular NBA 2K series.

The deal will also see 2K "explore new NBA licensed gaming opportunities, including online and social media platforms".

The last game in the series, NBA 2K11, has sold 5m units since its release in October making it the most successful instalment in the franchise to date.

"The top-selling NBA 2K series continues to be a pillar of Take-Two’s foundation for growth," Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated.

"We’re confident that our renewed partnership with the NBA will extend the unparalleled success of this franchise. We’re thrilled to be in business with David, Adam and the entire team at the NBA."
