Trine Enchanted Edition hits PS4 this month

The visually-enchanced Enchanted Edition of indie puzzle platformer hit Trine will land on PlayStation 4 this month, developer Frozenbyte has announced.

According to a post by Frozenbyte’s Kai Tuovinen on the PlayStation Blog, the PS4 version launches tomorrow (December 17th) in Europe, and December 23rd in North America. The game’s sequel Trine 2 is also available on PS4, along with PS3, PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

The remake of the 2009 release includes several new gameplay improvements and fixes, as well as updated graphics and local/online co-op.

"We’re really excited to bring the origin story of the Trine series to PS4 in a remastered format with all the goodies of its sequel," Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvrinen said. "To celebrate this launch we’ve set special discounts and created a bundle of both Trine games on the PS4."

Trine Enchanted Edition was released earlier this year on Steam and direct from Frozenbyte for Windows PC, Mac and Linux. Frozenbyte announced back in October that the franchise had surpassed 7m copies sold.
