UBISOFT: Xbox One exclusive fitness game ‘Shape Up’ showcased

Ubisoft has created an Xbox One exclusive fitness title: Shape Up.

The game will turn simply fitness exercises, such as running and squats, into video game-type experiences.

For instance, the mini-game ‘Piano Step’ sees players effectively play Dance Dance Revolition by stamping their feet. Players can get high scores and compete against previous versions of themselves.

Their body can be fully scanned into the game.

This is the third Ubisoft game that uses Microsoft’s Kinect (Rabbids Invasion and Just Dance 2015 being the others). The publisher is probably less than delighted that Xbox decided to remove Kinect from the hardware.

The game is due this Christmas.
