Wii drops to £140 at Amazon

Amazon.co.uk has slashed 60 off the price of the original Wii bundle today.

The deal sees the pack, which includes Wii Sports, sell for 139.99 on the site – down from a trade price of 199.99.

The bundle also includes one wireless Wii Remote and one Nunchuk.

The deal seems to be an attempt by Amazon to clear stock of Nintendo’s old Wii bundle – after the platform holder launched an all-new version last week.

The new pack, which carries a lowered 179.99 SRP, also includes Wii Motion Plus, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Amazon throws in two free games with the bundle.

Nintendo updated the pack after Microsoft and Sony dropped the RRP of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last month.

MCV has contacted Amazon for more details.
