Wii U GameCube controller adapter to launch alongside Super Smash Bros

Nintendo has revealed more details about its Wii U GameCube controller adapter.

The gadget allows players to connect up to four GameCube controllers to their Wii U. This includes the wireless WaveBird gamepad.

The platform holder is also releasing a Super Smash Bros branded GameCube controller.

This gadget is set to launch on the same day as the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros at the end of the year. This will also be the same day that the platform holder’s Amiibo toys-to-life range will be released.

In America the adapter will set fans back $19.99, while Smash Bros GameCube controllers will be $29.99 each.

Nintendo is also releasing a special bundle, collecting the above with a copy of the brawler. This will cost $99.99.

Super Smash Bros is coming to 3DS on October 3rd, while the Wii U version has a winter release date.
