Wipeout 2048 gets cross-platform multiplayer

NGP launch title Wipeout 2048 has been detailed for the first time having been leaked online yesterday.

The title will be one of "the biggest" games ever in the series and will include ten new tracks and 20 new vehicles, as well as new weapons and game modes.

Three control methods will be available – button-based, touch+tilt and a new scheme called ‘racer’. It will also snap pictures of players as they celebrate moments of glory.

Eight player online racing will be supported and interesting there will also be cross-platform multiplayer with owners of Wipeout Fury on PS3.
