Artificial Technology secures second round of funding ahead of new engine reveal at GamesCom

â??Emotionalâ?? AI group strikes new funds

AI group Artificial Technology has announced a further round of venture capital investment to expand the company’s work on its “emotional Artificial Intelligence” middleware, EKI.

“We are exceedingly happy about the commitment of our old and new investors,” states Frank Gwosdz, Artificial Technology CEO and co-founder.

EKI One’s AI tech uses what is termed as “cognitive and decision-making systems.”

The Munich-based company had revealed EKI 1.5 at the 2009 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, though it is preparing to unveil version 2.0 at the upcoming GamesCom event in Cologne.
