Rovio returns to App Store summit

Angry Birds Space soars past Draw Something

Draw Something’s dramatic rise to the top of the App Store and Facebook charts has come to a sudden end with Rovio’s latest title, Angry Birds Space, rising above the competition.

The latest bird slingshot game is currently atop the App Store Top Paid and Top Grossing charts in numerous western territories.

Draw Something, now owned by social giant Zynga following a lighting-fast company buyout, remains atop the Top Free chart on the UK App Store, which Rovio isn’t challenging.

This week, Zynga purchased Draw Something studio OmgPop in a deal thought to be worth $210 million.
