DayZ creator sets up new developer in New Zealand

Dean Hall hiring for new studio RocketWerkz

Dean Hall, the developer behind popular zombie title DayZ, has opened his own studio RocketWerkz and is currently hiring.

RocketWerkz is based in Dunedin, a city on New Zealand’s South Island, according to GamesIndustry. The news dispels reports that Hall was going to be working with London-based tech firm Improbable.

Hall revealed the new studio, and some of the positions it is recruiting for, via Twitter:

Hall announced he would be leaving former employers Bohemia Interactive earlier this year, following the success of the original DayZ mod and the development of a standalone venture.
