Analytics and marketing platform is designed to allow devs to improve the monetisation of their free-to-play titles

DeltaDNA joins official PS4 tools and middleware line-up

Free-to-play developers on PS4 can now use DeltaDNA to track their monetisation stats.

The analytics platform, which offers data mining, segmentation and live player engagement feedback, has been approved as a licensed middleware provider in the PlayStation 4 Tools and Middleware Program.

This means that PS4 devs can now access the software. It’s currently available via the Unity SDK, with a dedicated DeltaDNA PS4 SDK planned for release in the coming months.

“The PlayStation 4 Tools and Middleware program has always been focused on giving developers access to the best third-party development tools and technology on the market, to help them create the best games they can,” said CTO Chris Wright.

“Therefore, to become a licensed analytics provider is a great achievement for us.

“Sony has made no secret of its desire to make PS4 a major destination for free-to-play, and DeltaDNA’s unique and powerful toolset has been created with the sole purpose to help game developers understand their players and create better player experiences, so it’s a great match all-round.”
