Develop Awards: Hello Games bags two

Joe Danger developer Hello Games has tonight taken home a pair of prizes at the glittering Develop Awards.

The four man team, already basking in the glory of the critical acclaim showered on its recent PSN release, won both the New Studio award and the Micro Studio gong at an event filled with leading industry figures and opinion formers.

In receiving the Micro Studio accolade, Hello Games is the first company ever to stake a claim to this newly created award, which recognises the talent of small scale studios making big waves in the development sector.

Hello Games fought off impressive competition in the New Studio category from the likes of Lightning Fish, Six to Start and Wonderland Software, and beat worthy contenders like nominees Startfruit, Mobigame and Tag Games to take the Micro Studio prize.

With two Develop Awards to it’s name, it’s shaping up to be a very big year for Hello Games.
