Audio-themed evening will reveal more about the sounds behind Monument Valley and Tearaway

Develop Awards winners share secrets at next Audience With

Develop is pleased to announce the next iteration of its An Audience With events will take place this month, and this time it’ll be focused on audio.

Taking place on the evening of Tuesday, July 29th, Develop’s An Audience With… Audio Game-Changers will offer an insight into the techniques behind some of the most creative soundscapes heard in games from the past year.

Speakers include: Stafford Bawler, the man behind the audio of acclaimed puzzle title Monument Valley; Ed Hargrave from Tearaway developer Media Molecule; and Dolby’s senior product manager for gaming Michael Jessup.

Earlier this week, Bawler’s work on Monument Valley bagged him the prize for Creative Contribution: Audio at the 2014 Develop Awards. Media Molecule’s Tearaway also picked up the award for New IP.

Develop’s An Audience With… Audio Game-Changers will be held at the Dolby Lounge in Soho, London.

The event is free to attend but is strictly invite-only, with spaces limited to just 55 developers. Email audiencewith@intentmedia.co.uk to register your interest. Successful applicants will be informed later in the month.

Develop’s An Audience With is sponsored by Testronic.

Previous Audience With events have given a behind-the-scenes look at Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation and PlayStation’s virtual reality device Project Morpheus.
