technical director Alan Dabiri taking the role of game director

Dustin Browder steps down from top job on Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm

Blizzard veteran Dustin Browder announced today that he’ll be stepping down as the game director for Blizzard’s Moba Heroes of the storm, with the goal of "trying something new" within Blizzard.

Heroes of the Storm’s technical director Alan Dabiri will be stepping into the top job, but the many high profile staffers leaving or changing roles and the return of long-departed co-founder Allen Adham to the company points towards a big shakeup and some unannounced products being worked on behind the scenes.

Before Heroes of the Storm, Browder was the game director for Starcraft II, so there’s a possibility that he’ll be taking a leading role in whatever Blizzard is working on next, but it’s too early to tell at this stage.
