Developer scaling up team for debut title

Ex-Big Bit CEO heads new Brighton mobile studio Gunjin Games

Former Big Bit CEO Nick Baynes is heading up a new mobile game developer in Brighton called Gunjin Games.

He is joined at the company by art director Guy Mills and technical director Matt Ritchie, who also previously worked at Big Bit and on Split/Second.

Gunjin has secured funding from investors including Games Investor Consulting director and Develop columnist Nick Gibson, as well as Gunjin non-executive director Rick Gibson and chairman Ian Hetherington. As a founding director, Nick Gibson will also take on a commercial and financial role at the studio.

Following its initial round of funding the developer is set to scale up its team during the next few months as it works on its debut title for mobile and tablet devices.
