Irish dev KamaGames hiring 100 people

Dublin-based developer KamaGames has embarked on a new recruitment drive that will see the studio take on up to 100 people.

The mobile firm – best known for Manchester United Social Poker – has recently received funding from the Irish government’s Department of Jobs, as well as Enterprise and Innovation, and IDA Ireland, GamesIndustry reports.

KamaGames plans to hire not only developers, but also staff for their marketing, finance, human relations and business development teams. The studio described this as “the first stage of a much larger hiring plan”.

The first 50 jobs will be added next year, with this expanding to 100 over the next three years. New hires will also be participating in Google’s EMEA AppHub.

“We selected Ireland for our headquarters for a number of reasons: it’s pro-business environment, robust post-secondary educational system, availability of commercial real estate and most importantly the availability of a highly skilled workforce and a good quality of life for our employees,” said CEO Danny Hammett.

“We’re excited about the growth opportunities ahead and we’re so pleased to be doing this in Ireland.”
