Support for racing game set to continue despite redundancies

Layoffs at Driveclub studio Evolution

The studio behind troubled PS4 racer Driveclub has suffered what is understood to be a significant number of layoffs.

MCV was told yesterday that staff at the Runcorn developer had been put on notice. Sony has subsequently confirmed to Eurogamer that it has cut a number of jobs, and that the news does not mean the end of Driveclub.

“We will be looking to relocate team members throughout the studios, but unfortunately some redundancies will be necessary and in those cases we will assist staff in any way we can,” it said.

Our sister-site MCV has further details.
