Make The Game winner launches first game

Reborn Horizon, the title created for last year’s Make The Game competition by Computec, is now available.

European media firm Computec called for developers to create new social and browser games last year, offering the best studio a publishing contract and marketing budget worth one million Euros.

The company has relaunched Make The Game for 2012, once again with a €1m publishing contract up for grabs.

Last year’s winners SlipShift, a Berlin-based developer, have now launched their winning title Reborn Horizon, a strategy title set in a post-apocalyptic world.

It has been released internationally by US publisher Digital Chocolate as Reborn Empire.

"The success of ‘Reborn Horizon’ in the open beta far exceeded our expectations," said Hans Ippisch, COO of Computec Media. "We are delighted that the game is launched officially at the same time as its international release under the title ‘Reborn Empire’. We have found an ideal partner in Digital Chocolate."
