Chief exec Shuji Utsumi also said to have left the company

Mizuguchi departs Q Entertainment

Rez and Child of Eden creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi has left Q Entertainment.

A "person familiar with internal discussions at the corporation" has told CVG the famed Japanse developer quit the studio last year. It was also claimed that the company’s chief executive Shuji Utsumi had also left.

Utsumi’s departure is said to be related to Sanyo Chemical Industries’s acquisition of Q Entertainment stock.

Q Entertainment was founded in 2003 and has released titles such as Lumines and Child of Eden, as well as co-developing the likes of Rez HD and Peggle on Nintendo DS.
