Mojang caps Scrolls IAP spending ‘to retain game balance’

There will be a limit on how much money players of Mojang’s card game Scrolls can spend on the game.

"We restrict how much you can spend to retain game balance," Mojang said, as reported by Eurogamer. "This sounds unlikely, but you really don’t have to spend more than the cost of Scrolls ($4.99) to progress. All items are available for a reasonable amount of gold."

The game allows players to buy additional units, or Scrolls, using either in-game gold or via the premium Shard currency. Players can also trade with each other, either for items or in-game gold.

Scrolls will finally exit beta next week (Thursday December 11th) after more than two years of availability. The same day will see the release of the Android version, while an iPad version will follow at a later date.
