NaturalMotion bring David Byrne on as COO

NaturalMotion has announced that former Rovio man David Byrne will be coming aboard as the company’s new COO.

Byrne, who was a chief operating officer and senior vice president at Rovio before taking a similar role at NaturalMotion, will be reporting directly to the company’s CEO Torsten Reil and based in the company’s Londonoffice. Byrne will also be heavily involved in growing Natural Motion.

Byrne has over 20 years of experience in the games industry, joining Bullfrog Studios as a finance director all the way back in 1994. He’s since held executive roles at EA, Playfish and then Rovio.

The news comes on the day Dawn of Titans emerges out of soft-launch, drawing a close to nearly two years of soft-launch development. The company is also celebrating the news that the CSR Racing series is the top grossing racing franchise of 2016 on Apple’s App Store.
