PlayStation Home specialistâ??s new game set for Oct release

nDreams scores 5m visits for Xi

Alternate reality game Xi, the first project for UK studio nDreams, has clocked five million visits since its launch back in March.

The game took place within PlayStation Home over the course of three months, sending users on a hunt for various items hidden within Sony’s virtual world.

Though that three-month quest is over, players are still allowed to visit a special Xi-themed virtual area within Home.

“We’re extremely proud of Xi and the fact that the Xi Hub has now had over five million visits is a major milestone for us,” said nDreams CEO, Patrick O’Luanaigh.

“Our next space, the Pirate Galleon should launch in the next month, and will be the first Home apartment to feature a mini-game, music and prizes,” he added.
