PC games platform continues to draw in more customers

Origin ‘makes $150m’ as portal hits 11m users

Electronic Arts claims it made about $150 million in the previous financial year through its PC games portal, Origin.

The cited figure was not calculated by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) – the standard legal framework for bookkeeping.

EA said Origin now provides content to more than 11 million customers. Users can download full games published by EA, Sega and other publishers.
