Nate Wells joins studio behind Ultima Underworld successor

OtherSide Entertainment hires BioShock art director

Veteran art director Nate Wells has been hired by OtherSide Entertainment.

Wells is best known for his work on titles such as Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us and the recently released Rise of the Tomb Raider by Crystal Dynamics.

He will now be working on OtherSide’s Underworld Ascendant, a spirtual successor to Ultima Underworld created by the same team behind the original, according to GamesIndustry.

He will also be reunited with OtherSide’s co-founder Paul Neurath, who worked with Wells on Thief and System Shock 2 during their time at Looking Glass Studios.

"I’m thrilled to be working with Nate again," said Neurath. "Nate showed huge promise at Looking Glass early in his career, and it’s wonderful to see how he has grown into a supremely talented art director."
