Plants vs. Zombies 2 producer heads to Oculus VR

The producer of PopCap’s Plants vs Zombies 2 is the latest industry veteran to join Oculus’ recruitment drive.

As reported by GamesBeat, Bernard Yee will join the VR firm as producer or product manager at its Seattle office, and will begin working there from mid-July.

“I was really blown away by the level of emotional reaction I had to the demo,” he said.

“The virtual reality technology was immersive and made you feel present in a way that games have never done.”

Yee has worked at PopCap as senior producer for two years. Prior to that, he held roles at companies such as Bungie, Harmonix, Atari and Sony Online Entertainment.
