Stefanie Hels to oversee analysis of player behaviour

Spil hires ex-Ubisoft analytics manager

Spil Games has hired Ubisoft Singapore’s analytics manager as its new senior manager for business intelligence.

Stefanie Hels will be responsible for analysing and understanding player behaviour to improve on game design and how the firm makes revenue from its titles.

“My approach is analytical creativity,” said Hels. “It’s about building a bridge between game designers and the business side of gaming. Analytics can really help you understand player behaviour and the interdependencies in a virtual economy.”

Spil Games CEO Tung Nguyen-Khac added: “Spil Games already had considerable talent and technical infrastructure in business intelligence. But with Stefanie’s help, I am confident we will take metrics-driven decision-making to the next level.”

As well as working at Ubisoft Singapore, Hels previously worked at Bigpoint where she worked in analytics for six years and was eventually named the company’s director of analytics.
