New toolset includes three editing modes and can be used with deformers and other Modo tools

The Foundry integrates modelling plug-in MeshFusion to Modo 701

The Foundry has integrated a new modelling plug-in named MeshFusion to its animating and sculpting tool Modo 701.

Developed by Braid Art Labs, MeshFusion is designed to improve efficiency in the Modo workflow, and features the ability to interactively blend, add and subtract objects to create higher quality subdivision surface models more quickly.

The toolset also includes editing modes such as 3D Tree Fusion, Schematic Fusion and Fusion Strip, and can be used with deformers and other Modo modelling tools.

“MeshFusion opens up a world of creative possibilities for users,” said Modo product marketing manager Shane Griffith.

“It removes the challenge of complex and frustrating boolean operations and makes the process of producing high quality models consistent and accurate. Model creation that would previously take days can now be completed in just hours, with precision and control.”
