Rumours emerge once again that the troubled project will make an appearance

The Last Guardian could return at E3 2015

Team Ico’s The Last Guardian could return at E3 next week, according to reports.

The Guardian claims that it has it on “very good authority” that the game will finally be presented again during Sony’s presentation. This would be the first time the public has seen the game since its reveal in 2009.

MCV has also received word the title be at the show next week, though it was unable to get this confirmed.

The Last Guardian has been in development since 2007, and has faced rumours of development struggles and claims that it was even cancelled, this was denied by Sony however. In December, creator Fumito Ueda claimed that work was indeed still continuing on the project.

It’s not yet clear what form The Last Guardian will take if it does make an appearance next week, and whether it will show any resemblance to the game shown in 2009. It is likely though that it will now be a PS4 title.
