Developer-publisher's Uplay brand expands to offer PC game sales

Ubisoft debuts PC digital distribution platform

Ubisoft has opened the doors to a new digital distribution platform named Uplay PC.

Delivered as an app, and branded to tie in with Ubisoft’s wider online Uplay community, the digital download store will let PC users buy games and enjoy the other benefits of Uplay.

The existing console-based Uplay online services and distribution platform now counts more than 35 million amount its members.

“Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft’s games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that’s not available anywhere else.” said Ubisoft worldwide director for online games Stephanie Perotti.

“For PC gamers that are already fans of Ubisoft’s titles or have been considering trying some of our classics, this promotion is a great deal, and our way of saying thank you for their support.”

The launch of the site will high profile Ubisoft titles sold for as little as £1, including IP such as Driver, Assassin’s Creed and HAWX.
