Console firm running special E3 edition of Nintendo Direct instead

Video: Nintendo to skip E3 press conference

Nintendo will for the second year running not hold a press conference at E3.

Instead, it will air an E3 edition of its Nintendo Direct video news broadcast that will “further detail about the gaming experiences on the way for Nintendo platforms in 2014 and beyond”.

The video will go out at 5pm UK time on Tuesday June 10th, which will likely be the day after Sony and Microsoft’s presentations if past history is anything to go by.

There will also be live videos of gameplay demos from the show floor hosted by Nintendo America’s ‘Treehouse’ Product Development department.
