Nuendo integration, background user music management and more added to latest version

Wwise 2015.1 available now

Audiokinetic has updated its flagship audio tool Wwise with the release of the 2015.1 version.

The software is available to download now, and introduces a range of new features, as well as improvements to established functionality.

New features include background user music management, custom platform definitions and profile, new event actions such as ‘post event’ and ‘reset playlist’ and intergration with Steinberg’s Nuendo 7 digital audio workstation.

Audiokinetic has also added more flexibility in conversion settings, enabled faster build times with incremental SoundBank generation, and a revamped Advanced Profiler that now displays event and target objects.

You can find out more about the new additions via the release notes.

“After shipping 2014.1, one of our largest releases ever, we focused the development of 2015.1 on runtime performance optimisations and Wwise authoring workflow improvements,” said VP of products Simon Ashby.

“The integration with Steinberg’s Nuendo 7 has also been a great milestone during this release and demonstrates again our great partners and our leading position as the industry standard in game audio.”
