Draw Something DAUs up more than 700 per cent since beginning of March

Zynga draws in 14m users after OMGPOP purchase

Zynga’s daily active userbase has risen by more than 25 per cent to 70 million since it bought Draw Something developer OMGPOP, according to Appdata.

This dramatic rise is thanks Draw Something’s current 14.3 million users, which is almost double the userbase of Zynga’s two most popular titles CityVille and Texas HoldEm Poker combined.

The game has seen a dramatic rise in the past month, growing from 700 per cent from two million users at the start of March, which resulted in the social game giant’s $210 million purchase of the title’s developer, OMGPOP.

Draw Something was thought to be making $100,000 each day for its creators before Zynga’s buyout.

Since then, Zynga’s monthly active userbase has also gone up 15 per cent, currently standing at 284 million users.
