Zynga’s chief marketing and revenue officer Jeff Karp has quit the studio after just a year at the company.
No reason has been given for Karp’s decision to resign.
The marketing chief will continue to work at the company in a non-officer capacity until September 22nd. An SEC report noted he would be due three months severance pay upon the termination of his contract.
Karp, who previously worked as executive vice president of EA’s Play label, part of its casual games business, was hired in August last year as one of a string of industry veterans and EA execs to join the Facebook gaming giant.
In recent months however, a number of execs have stepped down form the company, including COO John Schappert, CCO Mike Verdu and senior VPs Bill Mooney and Brian Birtwistle.
The developer has also struggled to maintain a strong share price since it launched its IPO in December.
