Zynga third-party relations VP Rob Dyer quits

Zynga VP of partner publishing Rob Dyer has left the social gaming company.

No specific reasons were given for the executive’s departure, but a statement said he would be pursuing other opportunities within the mobile and social gaming space outside of Zynga.

Dyer originally joined the social game developer in November 2011 from Sony, and was tasked with looking after Zynga’s relationships with external development partners, as well as assisting with monetising and marketing their titles.

During his time at Sony, Dyer worked as SVP of publisher relations for three years. Prior to that, the industry veteran has also held roles as president of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, and also as the director of business development for international home entertainment at Disney.

As well as Dyer’s departure, the social gaming outfit earlier announced that Zynga China studio head Andy Tian would also be leaving the studio. It has been suggested he will now be replaced by former EA executive producer John Yin.
