EA: New IP Unravel revealed

The publisher has unveiled a new IP, puzzle platformer Unravel.

From Sweden studio Coldwood Interactive, the title casts players as a character made of red yarn called… Yarny.

The character unravels as you move, and consumers need to use Yarny’s wool-based powers to solve puzzles.

According to creative director Martin Sahlin, the title was built with the idea that games should do more than entertain players.

Sahlin came up with the idea when on holiday with his family. He came up with most of the concepts for the game buy making an actual figure of Yarny (below) and taking photos of him in different places.
