ESL reveals format for the League of Legends UK Premiership

ESL has revealed the initial details for its UK League of Legends Premiership, with qualifiers starting next week.

The Premiership will allow anyone to enter in the first swiss qualifier, on January 11th. The top 16 teams from this event will then play on January 12th in a double elimination bracket to determine the final eight teams that will make it to the proper league.

Once the eight participants have been decided they will start playing in the main league on January 18th at 7pm UK time. The seven week round robin will see each team play each other to secure a place at the LAN finals. The top teams at the end of the seven weeks will be invited to the ESL UK Studio on March 19th to fight for first place.

The competition will be streamed every Wednesday evening by Joe ‘‘Munchables’’ Fenny and Ciernan "Excoundrel" Lowe.
