Former Digital Chaos Dota 2 team signed by new org Planet Odd

The former Digital Chaos Dota 2 roster, who came second at The International 6 last year, have been signed by a new organisation called Planet Odd.

The team, who have been playing under the name Thunderbirds for the last couple of months, left the Digital Chaos organisation earlier this year. The split was unexpected, as the team had been with the org for around a year and had enjoyed a lot of success under the brand.

After competing as an independent team for a while the roster has signed with Swedish organisation Planet Odd. The org is not particularly well known, having only launched at the back end of last month, but it already has teams in Hearthstone and CS:GO. The org is seemingly backed by online casino Casumo.

This certainly comes as a surprise. Some rumours had suggested the team would sign with CS:GO organisation Astralis, while others claimed that North, the organisation founded by FC Copenhagen would be their new home. No one predicted that they would end up at Planet Odd.
