Splatoon 2 launches in July

During the latest Nintendo Direct, which aired last night, it was revealed that Splatoon 2 will launch on the Nintendo Switch on July 21st.

The title was revealed earlier this year when the Switch itself was shown off properly for the first time, but no release date was mentioned. Now we know that we will have to wait a few more months until we can try out the title.

A new co-op game mode called Salmon Run was also announced, which will allow up to four players to play a horde mode style game. The final Splatoon related announcement was the reveal of some new amiibo, which will launch alongside the game on july 21st.

Nintendo also revealed in the Direct that fighting game ARMS will launch on the Switch on June 16th.
