Viktor ‘Vuggo’ Jendeby leaves Fnatic

Fnatic announced on Monday that it was parting ways with long-time Counter-Strike coach and manager Viktor ‘Vuggo’ Jendeby, who was currently serving as the manager of the Counter-Strike Global Offensive team.

“My two and a half years in Fnatic have been an amazing time, a journey with a lot of great memories” Jendeby said in a statement.

“I am super grateful to have worked with my passion, with people I now consider friends for life. I’m sure the guys will continue to improve as they’ve done for the past months, and I wish them all luck in the future.”

Jendeby started as a Counter Strike: Global Offensive analyst, but stepped in to coaching the team in June 2015, taking the reigns off an in-form Fnatic who boasted one of the strongest CS:GO lineups in the world at the time, with Jendeby overseeing the team through one ESL One Cologne victory, and a winning streak that saw them pick up six offline event victories in late 2015. In August 2016 he stepped down from coaching the team to act as the team manager.

Jendeby is also well known as a player, both for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He’ll now be joining Swedish esports website Fragbite as a brand manager.
