Free-to-play version of PES 2016 coming to PS4 and PS3

Konami’s FIFA rival Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is getting a free-to-play spin-off.

Proving recent rumours true, the game has only been confirmed for PlayStation platforms – that’s PS3 and PS4 – so far.

Described as an ‘entry level’ effort designed to attract newcomers (read: FIFA fans) to the franchise, the offering will consist of an Exhibition Mode, a training portion and limitless access to the MyClub aspects of the full game.

Seven playable teams will be on offer, including Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil and France.

Konami promises that the free-to-play version of PES 2016 will be compatible with all upcoming ‘gameplay and content updates throughout the entire PES 2016 season’.

It’s due out on Tuesday, December 8th.

Thanks, IGN.
