ULTRA STREET FIGHTER Ⅱ: The Final Challengers announced for Nintendo Switch

One of the bigger surprises from the Nintendo Switch reveal event was the announcement of ULTRA STREET FIGHTER™ Ⅱ: The Final Challengers.

The title is somewhat of a remix of the classic fighting game, with new characters and features. Evil Ryu and Violent Ken are the two new confirmed fighters, with all of the classics returning as well. Players will be able to choose to fight in the classic pixel-art graphics for a retro nostalgia trip or enjoy a completely new look.

Arguably the most interesting point is that players can fight against each other locally using one Jon Con each, meaning quick pick up and play Street Fighter matches are finally a reality on a portable system.

The title will be available for the Switch, but is not yet confirmed for any other platforms.
